Stupid Weather

Here it is April 29th and we are still getting snow! What the heck! I thought we would be well into Spring and warmer weather by now. I need it to be warmer and sunny, so I can go out walking. I got the go ahead at my 6 week postpartum appointment to start exercising and the weather is refusing to cooperate.

I was able to go out walking for several nights last week and I lost 3 lbs! Yeah! I want to lose the 43 lbs I gained during my pregnancy with exercise and a healthy diet. I hate all the yo-yo diet fads that people get on. They never work, because you simply gain the weight back as soon as you go off them. They are also just plain unhealthy. Why do people get roped into things like that? I mean, I want to lose weight so I feel better and look great, but come on.

Sorry for the ranting and raving. I really just wanted to say how much I’m hating the ongoing cold weather. Look at these photos and the video Jason took, unbelievable.

Welcome to Cedar City

I have been looking for a place for my Mom and my brother, Jaime, to live here in Cedar City. It took me a week and I found the perfect place. It’s a townhome that’s only about a 6 minute drive from our house. I made sure it had plenty of room and a really nice feel when you walk in. It even has a great school with several nice playgrounds, for Mireya when she’s older, within walking distance. It is a little nerve-racking that they haven’t even seen it and are just trusting my judgement. I really hope they like it.

When they move here in a couple of weeks it will be so exciting! I have missed being close to my family. Especially now that Mireya is here it will be nice to be in the same city. Jaime has never even had the chance to hold Mireya. Now he and my Mom can hold her whenever they want! I’m also looking forward to having people who can babysit so close. Maybe Jason and I can finally have a date night.

Now I just need to find a nice place for my other brother, Jesse, to live. I have heard through the grapevine that he isn’t too thrilled about moving. I hope he grows to like the idea though, because I’ve been missing him. I know that he and Jason have a lot in common and I think they would have fun hanging out and talking computers. He also hasn’t had a chance to hold Mireya. I want her to be able to get to know both of her uncles on my side of the family and that’s hard to do when they live in Salt Lake City.

Welcome to Cedar City!
